U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy has announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation will allocate $63,149,456 to Louisiana for railroad infrastructure projects. This funding comes from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act.

"This is a huge investment from the Infrastructure Law to improve Louisiana’s railroads," stated Dr. Cassidy. He emphasized that these projects are expected to create new interstate commerce opportunities for families and businesses in Louisiana, contributing to economic growth by 2050.
