U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation will provide Louisiana with $1,651,340 for road safety infrastructure projects. This funding comes from the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA), which Cassidy played a role in drafting.

"Enhancing the quality of life for Louisianans was a top priority when writing the Infrastructure Law," stated Dr. Cassidy. "By addressing road safety, we're creating a safer environment for families who rely on these roads now and in the years to come."

The funds are intended to improve road safety across the state, ensuring safer travel conditions for residents and visitors alike.
