U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy has announced that Jefferson Davis Electric Cooperative, Inc. will receive a significant sum of $5,781,659.91 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). This funding is designated for management costs following the aftermath of Hurricane Laura.

Senator Cassidy remarked on the long-lasting effects of hurricanes, stating, "The impact of hurricanes can be felt long after the wake of the storm, but Louisianans are resilient." He emphasized that this financial support would enable Jefferson Davis Parish to rebuild and better prepare for future storms.
