U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy announced that Louisiana is set to receive over $21 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The funds are designated for Hurricane Laura relief and emergency preparedness efforts. This includes projects such as elevating flood-prone structures and installing generators.

"Louisiana has been hit hard by hurricanes and natural disasters, but we are resilient," stated Dr. Cassidy. "This funding will rebuild our communities, prevent flooding, and keep our lights on when the next storm hits."

The allocation aims to bolster the state's infrastructure against future natural disasters, ensuring greater safety and resilience for its residents.
