On January 24, Letlow expressed enthusiasm for the commencement of DC Mardi Gras, mentioning a meeting with Mayor Friday Ellis and other local Monroe leaders. She remarked, "Loved kicking off DC Mardi Gras this week by meeting with Mayor Friday Ellis and other local leaders from Monroe! After securing millions in community funding projects, I look forward to providing more support for Monroe’s growth in the years ahead!"
