U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, representing Louisiana, has responded to President Trump's recent address to Congress. This was the first address of Trump's second term and took place during a Joint Session of Congress.

Senator Cassidy expressed his support for the President's actions on border security. He stated, "We have begun securing the border. People attempting to cross the border illegally is way down. We’re sending back criminals who came here illegally and committed a crime. They’re going back to the country from which they came." Cassidy also noted that Mexico is now cooperating more in preventing fentanyl from crossing into the United States due to pressure from President Trump.

On economic matters, Cassidy highlighted President Trump's optimistic message regarding the American Dream. He remarked, "President Trump’s message was one of hope—the American Dream still alive! We will do everything in our power to protect and strengthen it." The senator expressed eagerness to collaborate with the President on promoting policies that align with a Pro-America agenda aimed at revitalizing this dream.
