NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University has launched an updated version of its campus calendar to provide an easy way for students, alumni and supporters to stay up to date on events hosted by the university.

The calendar can be accessed at www.nsula.edu.  The calendar tab is located on the right side of the main page beneath the rotating banner images.  The calendar can also be accessed at www.nsula.edu/calendar.

The calendar lists university events and information for students, such as academic deadlines and notices for registered student organizations, as well as events of interest to the community, such as exhibits, lectures and forums that are open to the public.

“The NSU campus calendar is a powerful and user-friendly online resource that offers a variety of features and benefits to help users manage and share their events and schedules to the NSU/Natchitoches community,” said Cole Gentry, director of Strategic Initiatives at NSU.

The NSU campus calendar offers a variety of customizable views, including a monthly, weekly and daily view, to help viewers easily see important university events, and is mobile-friendly and able to be accessed from any device, including smartphones and tablets, making it easy to view events on-the-go.  Users can also subscribe to receive weekly email and calendar reminders about events to include and manage in their personal digital calendars.

“We are certain this new format will be useful to parents, alumni and anyone who is planning to visit campus,” Gentry said. “It’s one more way for NSU to increase engagement, communication and transparency within and outside the physical campus.”
