U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) has announced that Louisiana will receive $11,688,359.21 in relief funds from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for the damages caused by Hurricanes Laura and Ida. The funds will be allocated to Jefferson Davis Electric Cooperative, Inc. for emergency protective measures resulting from Hurricane Laura, and to Terrebonne Parish for debris removal operations following Hurricane Ida.
