WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $14,389,328.00 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to fund the construction of the Mirabeau Garden Stormwater Management Project. The project will divert stormwater from New Orleans’s drainage system to reduce damages to property.

"The best way to recover from a flood is never flooding at all," said Dr. Cassidy. "This funding will mitigate the risk of flooding and ensure the New Orleans community is resilient to future storms."
