Julia Letlow emphasizes the importance of rural support and honors military service

Congresswoman Julia Letlow, currently representing Louisiana's 5th District in the U.S. Congress, shared several updates on her official Twitter account in early April. Letlow emphasized legislative priorities, honored a friend for military service, and extended a deadline for an art competition in her district.

On April 1st, Letlow stressed the importance of legislative attention on the agriculture sector. She stated, "Congress must prioritize passing a Farm Bill to ensure certainty for our farmers and support for our rural communities."

Later on the same day, Letlow expressed her appreciation for a military veteran. She remarked, "It was my privilege to recently honor my friend Sgt. 1st Class Toby Green for his years of dedicated service to our country. A well-earned retirement for this humble servant and friend!"

On April 3rd, Letlow announced the extension of a significant event for young artists in her district. She declared, "The deadline for Louisiana’s 5th District Congressional Art Competition has been extended to April 16th! If you’re a student in #LA05, learn more about how to apply."
