There were 5,393 white students enrolled in Vernon Parish School District schools in the 2021-22 school year, 1.9% less than the previous year, according to the Louisiana Department of Education.

Data showed that Vernon Parish School District welcomed 7,937 students during the 2021-22 school year. Among them, white students comprised 67.9% of the student body to be the most represented ethnicity in the district.

Vernon Parish School District roughly covers schools within Vernon Parish and has a main office in Leesville.

Among the 19 schools in Vernon Parish School District, Rosepine Elementary School recorded the highest enrollment of white students in the 2021-22 school year, with a total of 617 students.

The majority of Louisiana students were identified as white and Black, representing 48% and 37% of the state student body respectively during the 2021–22 academic year. Hispanic students made up 8.6% of the student body, and other ethnic minorities made up 5.6%.
