Cassidy Announces $27.8 for Louisiana in Hurricanes Laura, Zeta Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $27,792,440.30 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricanes Laura and Zeta relief. The Office of Risk Management will receive $26,352,723.47 for replacement of the McNeese University Farrar Hall building as a result of Hurricane Laura and $1,439,716.83 for damages to the Louisiana State University Health Science Center as a result of Hurricane Zeta.

"Louisiana has shown incredible resilience in the aftermath and recovery from Hurricanes Laura and Zeta," said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will aid repairs to McNeese and LSU to ensure our universities are prepared for future storms,” Dr. Cassidy added.
