Cassidy Announces $2.2 Million for Louisiana in Hurricanes Laura, Ida Relief

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced Louisiana will receive $2,191,871.24 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in Hurricanes Laura and Ida relief. The Calcasieu Parish School Board will receive $1,051,138.34 for building repairs damaged as a result of Hurricane Laura. Lafourche Parish will receive $1,140,732.90 for permanent repairs required as a result of Hurricane Ida.

"Despite the devastation left by Hurricanes Laura and Ida, Louisiana is resilient," said Dr. Cassidy. "This funding will help our South Louisiana communities clean up, rebuild, and recover."
