U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy has announced that Louisiana is set to receive over $3.7 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The funds are allocated for generator projects across three parishes: Jefferson, Tangipahoa, and Tensas.

The funding aims to enhance resilience in these areas by ensuring power availability during storms and other emergencies. "Louisianans are strong and resilient," said Dr. Cassidy. "Funding for generator projects ensures that when the next storm hits, more folks can keep the lights on, ultimately speeding up our recovery process."

This initiative reflects ongoing efforts to improve infrastructure and emergency preparedness in regions vulnerable to natural disasters.
