U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) has announced that Louisiana is set to receive $3,335,000.00 in funding from the Delta Regional Authority's States' Economic Development Assistance Program. These funds are a result of the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) and will be used to improve infrastructure and workforce development in the state.

The grants awarded through the IIJA will have a significant impact on various aspects of Louisiana's infrastructure. One of the grants, totaling $105,000.00, will go towards the NOVA Rural Workforce Development Program. This program aims to provide job training and employment-related education in public education institutions in Northeast Louisiana.

Another grant, amounting to $355,000.00, will be directed to Ochsner LSU to build a helipad adjacent to the hospital's emergency room. This addition will enhance emergency medical services and improve access to critical care.

The Leonville Wastewater Treatment Plan will receive $500,000.00 in federal funding for various improvements to the town's wastewater treatment facility. This investment will contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the town's infrastructure.

The Town of Jonesboro will benefit from a grant of $573,000.00, which will be utilized to provide a water well and treatment plant. This project will ensure the availability of clean and reliable water supply for the residents of Jonesboro.

The Madison Port Railcar Company will receive $487,000.00 in federal funding for various improvements to the Madison Port Building. This investment will contribute to the growth and efficiency of the company's operations.

Additionally, the Economic Development Street Improvements project in Rayville, Louisiana, will receive $356,000.00 in federal funding. This grant will be used to overlay a portion of Gin Road, enhancing transportation infrastructure in the area.

The Town of Sunset has been awarded a grant of $500,000.00 to rehabilitate its wastewater treatment plant. This investment will contribute to the improvement and sustainability of the town's wastewater management system.

The Village of Grayson will receive $237,000.00 in federal funding to repair and paint a 50,000-gallon elevated water storage tank. This project will ensure the quality and safety of the water supply for the residents of Grayson.

Lastly, the grant of $222,000.00 awarded to the Earn and Learn to Advance Care: In-Hospital Pharmacy Tech Training program will support the expansion of the Adult Rapid Reskill Program. This program provides accelerated certification and employment opportunities within the healthcare industry.
