U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) recently visited Israel as part of a bipartisan Senate delegation to express unwavering support for the Jewish State of Israel. During his trip, Cassidy met with Prime Minister Bibi Netanyahu, the war cabinet, and the families of Israeli-American hostages held by Hamas.

He urged President Joe Biden to prioritize the release of American hostages held by Hamas and called for the freezing of a $6 billion transfer to Iran. Upon his return to the U.S., Cassidy emphasized the importance of standing with Israel. He stated, "Israelis need to know the U.S. stands with them." Cassidy also highlighted the impact of his meeting with the families of hostages, condemning Hamas for their intent to kill all Jews and the brutal attacks on their own people.

Cassidy's visit to Israel shed light on the extreme violence and indifference of Hamas towards humanitarian concerns. He described how Hamas terrorists use civilian clothing and vehicles to attack Israeli forces, hiding their operations beneath homes, hospitals, and schools.
