Washington D.C., Mar 25, 2024 - U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) revealed that Louisiana is set to receive $7,715,437.54 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) in aid for Hurricanes Laura and Ida.

Dr. Cassidy expressed, "The effects of Hurricanes Laura and Ida are still felt deeply throughout Louisiana, but our communities are resilient. This funding will help South Louisiana continue to rebuild and prepare for future storms."

The funds allocated by FEMA aim to assist the state in recovering from the devastation caused by the two hurricanes, ensuring that the affected regions receive the necessary support to facilitate their restoration and enhance their resilience against potential future natural disasters.
