Fire departments respond quickly to Culpepper Drive blaze

The Alexandria Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 2500 block of Culpepper Drive on November 21, 2024. The incident occurred at approximately 1:23 PM when both the Alexandria Fire Department and Rapides Fire District #2 were dispatched to 2504 Culpepper Drive.

The first unit arrived within four minutes of the initial alarm, managing to bring the fire under control within fourteen minutes. Two adults sustained injuries and were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The response involved three engine companies, an aerial company, a medical unit, one district chief’s unit, and a fire investigator from AFD. Additionally, Rapides Parish Fire District #2 contributed two engine companies and a chief’s unit. The cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
