U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA), today criticized Senate Democrats for revisiting a border bill that has previously failed to pass the Senate and is not expected to be considered by the House. Cassidy described the move as a "political stunt" that does not address the ongoing issues at the border.

"We’ve got to control the border, but we need a bill that can pass. Democrats are bringing up a bill for another vote that failed to pass once and will fail again. This is a total political stunt that does nothing to change the reality at the border," said Dr. Cassidy. "Democrats own the border crisis."

Senate Republicans stood united in their opposition, emphasizing that legislative efforts should focus on viable solutions rather than repeated votes on unsuccessful bills.
