U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced that Louisiana will receive $1,223,795 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for Hurricane Delta relief. St. Mary Parish is set to receive $1,165,525 to fund the elevation of two existing structures that have experienced repetitive flood damage and $58,270 for management costs associated with the two elevation sites.

"Louisiana communities are resilient no matter the storm," said Dr. Cassidy. "This funding will ensure St. Mary Parish is prepared to weather future disasters."
