Cassidy announces $2.7 million for Jefferson Parish schools in Hurricane Ida relief

U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy, M.D. (R-LA) announced that the Jefferson Parish Public School System will receive $2,709,887.29 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for emergency protective measures following Hurricane Ida.

“Hurricane Ida devastated South Louisiana almost three years ago, but we are resilient,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This is welcome funding that will repair our local schools and ensure they are prepared for future storms.”
