Julia Letlow, a Congresswoman representing Louisiana's 5th District since 2021, took to social media on April 23, 2025, to share updates about her engagements and political stands. Replacing Ralph Abraham, she has been an outspoken advocate in U.S. Congress since her election. Letlow, who holds a BA from the University of Louisiana at Monroe, was born in Monroe, Louisiana, and currently resides in Start.
On the morning of April 23, Letlow announced her upcoming appearance on a radio segment with Brian Haldane, scheduled for 8:35 am Central Time. She encouraged listeners to tune in to hear “all the latest from Washington.”
Later that day, Letlow expressed her gratitude for a recent gathering at the Governor’s Mansion in Baton Rouge. She shared her pleasure in meeting with Governor Landry, his wife Sharon, and legislative spouses, describing the occasion as delightful. Letlow extended “a special thank you to the First Lady for inviting me to share my story.”
In another post on the same day, Letlow affirmed her stance on parental involvement in education. She asserted, “It shouldn’t be up for debate: parents should always have a say in their child’s education.” Emphasizing her point, she called on the Supreme Court to “step up and defend parental rights.”
Julia Letlow was born in Monroe, Louisiana in 1981 and graduated from the University of Louisiana at Monroe in 2002. In addition to her service in Congress, Letlow has also served in the Louisiana House of Representatives.
