Louisiana receives over $53 million from FEMA for Hurricane Ida relief

U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy has announced that Louisiana will receive over $53 million from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to aid in recovery efforts following Hurricane Ida. The funds, totaling $53,080,760.19, are designated for medical centers and Terrebonne Parish.

Senator Cassidy emphasized the importance of preparedness in mitigating future disasters. "Taking safety precautions is the best way to prevent future devastation," he stated. "This funding will help our medical centers and Terrebonne Parish rebuild prepare for the next storm."

The allocation aims to support rebuilding efforts and enhance readiness for potential future storms.
