U.S. Senator Bill Cassidy has announced that Louisiana is set to receive over $23 million in funding for hurricane preparedness. The funds, totaling $23,346,470.73, will be provided by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to enhance the state's readiness for future storms.

“Preparing for future storms is always top of mind,” said Dr. Cassidy. “This funding will make sure communities across Louisiana are equipped to be more resilient.”

The allocation aims to bolster emergency preparedness and ensure that communities throughout Louisiana can better withstand severe weather events.
